Testimony about the Book of Mormon

Testimony about the Book of Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently, but even so I cannot say that my testimony about his truthfulness and the veracity of the thing about this church is a testimony of worthless. Actually my testimony about this stuff is very strong.(... ...)

I had one experience in particular with the Book of Mormon. The experience only confirmed and further increased my certainty about all the things I learned since I became a member of this simple church.

Everything happened in a particular night, when was reading the Book of Mormon. Since I started reading, I have continued to read every day. I was very interested in knowing about the history of the Nephite and Lamanite people, and wanted to finish reading the book and know everything it had to tell. I have spent hours devouring the book and checking the things that called attention, or the doubts that  I had to during my study. It was amazing how I identified with some of the verses. I have the desire to know everything. I have never been able to read a book cover to cover before. I think that curiosity is the greatest of my flaws.
On this particular evening, I had finished reading book. There was no more doubt about the veracity of the book. The Lord had been generous to me when I join with His church. He had given me many signs that He can hear me and answer my prayers. Even though sometimes I even I did not feel worthy to receive the blessings that I asked him, he still gave me a answer.

I finished reading the book and came across the famous verse, (Moroni 10:4) "And when ye shall receive these things, I exhort that ye would ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are true, and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of the power of the Holy Ghost.” and decided once again to offer a prayer asking if these things are true. The interesting thing is that I had already received two responses already and that would be the third, I was so privileged to have received such a response again. But in the end, prayer is how we receive answers from our Father in Heavens.

I think I can say that I was privileged to received an answer once again, through a dream. The dream was not too long and was not a dream in which there was dialogue or story, or explanation by word or action. It was a dream of pure feeling:
"I felt like a very large force of the spirit to invade my sol. The spirit was strong, but by no means hurt me ... in fact I felt very light when you receive that power. It's like the Holy Spirit was coming inside of me and bringing me into Heaven. It was a wonderful feeling that I could not express with my own words. "

I remember when I woke up and remembered the dream a few verses of the Book of Mormon came to my mind immediately. 3 Nephi 28:13 ("And behold, the heavens were opened, and they were caught up into heaven and saw and heard unspeakable things.") And 3 Nephi 28:15 ("And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not tell; for it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them that they were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could behold the things of God. "). It is my great desire to want to compare what I felt about what 12 apostles felt when making your request to Christ is really more like I think they must have felt to receive that gift of our savior.

It was an incredible experience for me. It is a pleasure can share it with someone else. You may not have an answer through a dream, such as was directed for me, because our Heavenly Father answers the questions in each one differently. But I invite you to read the 3 Nephi 28, and try to imagine how it would get the things they asked Christ that day, or how they felt after receiving their answers. This surely will increase my testimony about the truthfulness of these things and help you to persevere to the end.

I'm not perfect, in truth I'm actually far from it. But I know these things helped me improve a lot. In time will only improve myself more. Perhaps in future I can serve God our Savior, in a full mission and share these and other wonderful experiences with the lost sheep of our Heavenly Father?

I hope this was a good read and it can help people who are looking for the truth, even if it only helps a little. I know that God exists and sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins so that those who believed they could be saved, through their faith, repentance of their sins, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet sent by Christ to restore the true Church of Christ and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is my testimony. I leave in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
